Responsibilities

Research

My research interests lie in the use of computers, software and mathematical methods to solve real world phenomena related to industry, commerce and the environment. My role involves the supervision of PhD students and the management of Government and Industry funded research projects. I am a co-director of Multi-Physics Software Limited and lead the Microsystems Modelling Group.

 

Teaching

Undergraduate and Postgraduate level.  Current teaching commitments is Finite Element Analysis on the Masters Programme in Computational Science and Engineering. I also give short courses both nationally and internationally.

 

Consultancy

Consultant for a number of companies. Provide expertise and guidance in exploiting computational design tools and methodologies for product/process design and reliability.

 

Business Liaison Officer

Working closely with the Business Community Unit at the University of Greenwich. This involves co-ordinating third leg funding efforts for the School of Computing and Mathematical Sciences in consultancy and outreach.
