Users' Comments on the Workshops

“I liked the way the workshop was run. I found it very good to be with people who were very enthusiastic about their subject. I could see how if it were perhaps possible I could run a workshop with staff here and use the same sort of approach. In other words, take some of the TLRs and say how these could be used in your subject area ... I thought that approach was really quite good.”
“It was very good ... It was a lot better than most things one goes to like this, because the emphasis really was on learning through participation rather than people telling you what wonderful schemes they set up.”
“I really enjoyed the format. I thought it was good that we broke up into small groups and that we had an opportunity to mix the groups as well ... We got useful feedback from people working in different areas ... I thought the whole approach was excellent.”
“I thought the workshop was very good ... I think it's also very good to get teachers actually doing the exercise themselves. Things like just how long it takes you as a teacher to read the instructions. I think you underestimate how long it takes students to get their heads round what's expected of them ... therefore the session is very useful.”
“Do cut down on lengthy presentation at beginning: we can read it quickly. Also check out interests/knowledge of participants.”
“The chocolate croissants were most welcome after the journey I'd had!”
