Helen BonifaceHelen Boniface

Teacher Practitioner

Helen has been employed for 6 years as a Pharmacist Manager for National Co operative Chemists Ltd and works in Essex. She originally came from Wales. Helen is the sponsored teacher practitioner from the Co op, for the Medway School of Pharmacy and registered as a Pharmacist in 1996.

Teacher Practitioner

Cleopatra recently joined the Medway School of Pharmacy as a Teacher Practitioner. Her time is spent equally between the School and Clinical Pharmacy duties at the Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother (QEQM) hospital in Margate. Her extensive clinical pharmacy and professional experience spans the United States, Caribbean and the UK. Her current interests are surgery, pain and symptom control in the palliative care patient. She has done research and published papers in the area of Palliative Care.

Clinical Lecturer

Sarah qualified as a Pharmacist in 1990 and worked part time as a locum pharmacist whilst undertaking her PhD at the University of Bradford. In the mid 1990s Sarah held a full time post as lecturer in pharmacy practice at the University of Bradford. Following her move to Canterbury in 1996 she held posts in hospital pharmacy and was Principal Oncology Services Pharmacist at the Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust before taking up her post as a Clinical Lecturer in Medway School of Pharmacy. Sarah teaches on the MPharm Programme and is course co ordinator of PDDA3 within the Undergraduate Programme and `Individualisation of drug therapy' within the Postgraduate Programme.

Senior Administrator

Debby is a senior administrator with responsibilities for Admissions and Distance Learning Programmes within the School. Debbie has worked for the University of Greenwich for the past ten years, starting out in the Registry department when the Medway Campus first opened in 1994. Three years later Debbie moved to Woolwich where she spent seven years line managing the Central Recruitment Office.

Linda DoddsLinda Dodds

Teacher/Practitioner

Linda qualified as a Pharmacist in 1974 and has had extensive experience of clinical practice and training within the NHS. Linda is a teacher practitioner who divides her time between Medway School of Pharmacy and the NHS where she continues to work as a Specialist Pharmaceutical Adviser, hosted by Ashford PCT on behalf of the Kent and Medway Prescribing Network. In addition she has had extensive editorial experience in relation to two journals and a clinical pharmacy textbook (editor and contributor). The third edition of the latter is the core textbook for the MSc Medicines Management Programme. Linda is Programme leader for the MSc programme and course co ordinator for four of the Postgraduate Courses.

Chief Technician

Lynn has the post of Chief Technician with responsibilities for health and safety and the management of all technical staff. She is a qualified Pharmacy Technician having worked at three London Teaching Hospitals.

Senior Administrator
Mandy is a senior administrator within the School and holds the combined post of PA/Project Manager to the Head of School. Previously Mandy held various quality assurance posts with the University of Greenwich, Kings College London and the Council for Professions Supplementary to Medicine.

Stuart Gill BanhamStuart Gill Banham

Teacher/Practitioner

As one of the Teacher Practitioners employed by the School of Pharmacy this means that Stuart's time is split equally between working as a member of the School teaching staff and working as a clinical pharmacist at the William Harvey Hospital in Ashford. Since qualifying as a pharmacist in 1994 he has worked in a variety of locations and since 1996 has specialised as a psychiatric pharmacist. Recently he was successful in being elected to the council of the College of Mental Health Pharmacists as the College Registrar.

 

Min KeatingMin Keating

Senior Lecturer

Min qualified as a pharmacist in 1963 and worked as a community pharmacist from 196367 following which she had a successful career as a Hospital Pharmacist holding the post of Chief Pharmacist for the Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust before retiring from the NHS in 2002. Min has been involved with the Medway School of Pharmacy since its inception and has responsibilities for MPharm teaching, student placements, Health and Safety and Chairs the School Marketing & Recruitment Committee.

Eleni is currently working as a pharmacy technician. She completed her Bachelors, Masters and recently submitted her PhD.

Harjinder S LailHarjinder S Lail

Technician

Harjinder is currently working as a technician. He has an undergraduate degree in Chemistry and progressively moved into the field of biochemistry. His previous position was within the biochemistry department of Queen Mary College at the University of London, where he was actively involved in technical and analytical research within the area of diabetes.

Kinna McConochieKinna McConochie

Senior Lecturer

Kinna qualified in 1992 from Kings College, London and completed her pre registration in the community. She continued to work in community pharmacy for three years and then joined the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain as a Pharmacist adviser in the Law department. In 1998 she took up the post of Professional Standards Inspector for the RPSGB until accepting position of Senior Lecturer for Medway School of Pharmacy in January 2005.

Joanna MowbrayJoanna Mowbray
Receptionist/Clerical Officer

Jo's current role in the Medway School of Pharmacy is Receptionist/Clerical Officer. She is the first point of contact to all visitors to the school and she assists students with any queries or problems they may have. Jo previously worked for the University of Greenwich for three years, starting out at the Kings Hill campus working in the meeting and events side of the business.

Ruth qualified as a pharmacist in 1977 and worked as a community pharmacist rising to regional manager then project manager for a large chain in the early 1990s In 1992 she took up the post of Head of Ethics at the Royal Pharmaceutical Society. Her most recent post was as a Senior Pharmaceutical Adviser to the Kent and Medway Primary Care Trust prior to taking up her full time post at the School. Ruth successfully completed her PhD in ethics at Cardiff School of Pharmacy in 2004. Ruth is year one co ordinator for the MPharm Programme and teaches extensively on this Programme. In addition Ruth is course coordinator for one course within the Undergraduate Programme and one course within the Postgraduate Programme.

Trudy ThomasTrudy Thomas

Clinical Lecturer
Trudy qualified as a pharmacist in 1988 and worked as a community pharmacist and Primary Care Trust adviser for both Swale and Canterbury PCTs. Trudy has extensive experience of postgraduate continuing education as a local tutor for the Centre for Postgraduate Pharmacy Education (CPPE) from 1992 to 2005. Trudy is Programme leader for the PgCert in Supplementary Prescribing and course co ordinator for three of the Postgraduate Courses. In addition Trudy has responsibility for the development of a Foundation Degree in Pharmacy Practice which is due to be launched in 2005.
