Head of School

Clare qualified as a Pharmacist in 1981 and established a small group of four community pharmacies in Glasgow by 1990, selling the last two pharmacies in 2003.

During the 1990s she returned to education completing her membership of the College of Pharmacy Practice by examination, an MSc in Clinical Pharmacology at Glasgow University and a PhD at the University of Strathclyde. In parallel during the 1990s she became involved in postgraduate education as a local tutor initially then as Assistant Director of the Scottish Centre for Post Qualification Pharmaceutical Education. In 1998 she took up the post of Professor of Pharmaceutical Care and Head of School of Pharmacy at the Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen.

In 2002 she established a research centre titled 'Centre for Partnerships in Medicines for Health' at the Robert Gordon University prior to taking up her present post as Head of Medway School of Pharmacy in 2004.

Clare is Programme leader for the MPharm and course co ordinator for five of the Postgraduate Courses.
