Medicinal Products 2 (MP2)
Medicinal Products 3 (MP3)

The following courses give the pharmacist an in depth knowledge of medicinal products including their formulation, development and manufacture.

Medicinal Products 1 (MP1)
This stage 1 course introduces students to the legal framework within which products are brought to market, the scientific aspects of the physiochemical characteristics of molecules and compounds, and the analytical procedures used to investigate the composition and quality of a product.

Medicinal Products 2 (MP2)
This stage 2 course is a continuation of the MP1 course and takes a more detailed look at processes in drug discovery, development and manufacturing. This course focuses on dosage form design and will also consider the use of polymers in pharmacy.

Medicinal Products 3 (MP3)
This stage 4 course consolidates the learning from the first three years of the programme and introduces students to current issues and research. This includes the multidisciplinary approach to drug discovery, the therapeutic use of the human gene sequence and the use of computer, protein or DNA based approaches to drug development.
