Facilities at Maritime Greenwich |
The
Maritime Greenwich Campus is based in the Old Royal Naval College
on the banks of the River Thames, in Greenwich.
Centred on three
magnificent buildings designed by Sir Christopher Wren and
one by James "Athenian" Stuart, the campus boasts some of London’s
finest Grade 1 listed buildings, and forms
part of the Maritime Greenwich World Heritage Site.
The grand sequence of buildings was planned towards the end
of the 17th Century as a hospital for retired seamen. Formerly,
the site had been occupied by a royal palace; the birthplace
of Henry VIII and Elizabeth I.
This beautiful campus stands in the heart of historic Greenwich,
at the foot of Greenwich Park, opposite the National
Maritime Museum and close to the bustling town centre.
Boasting nine well appointed lecture theatres, that can hold
up to 229 delegates, over thirty seminar rooms and breakout
rooms, as well as a small exhibition area, the campus has facilities
to suit all needs.
The Maritime Greenwich campus provides an
inspiring setting for meetings and conferences alike.
