Study in your own time and pace either at work, or at home, or a local learning centre, in an environment supported by experts from within the field. |
Courses are built around the use of an electronically guided environment supplied by WebCT (Web Course Tools) and use the best of a variety of media including:
e-learning environment
Our courses are designed to encourage you to
- participate in on-line debate, share ideas and respond to each other’s reactions at a distance.
- collaborate on projects in an information-rich, tool-rich environment.
- learn ICT skills and think with them later in the workplace
- enhance your written communication and presentation skills
In addition, our tutors undertake to provide you with prompt feedback so that you can assess your existing competence and knowledge and focus on learning what is not known.
Workshops
Two face-to-face workshops are held at the beginning and end of each course.
- The first workshop is designed to familiarise you with the electronic environment of WebCT and to introduce you to your on-line tutor and colleagues with whom you will work closely throughout the course.
- The second provides an opportunity to make a formal presentation based on a topic associated with your chosen course.
Courses will normally take three months to complete. All course materials (texts, software) are supplied for the duration of the course.
You will be registered as a student with the University of Greenwich and entitled to make use of its facilities. |
